PCP SYSTEMS / FROM WELL CONDITIONS TO EQUIPMENT

Progressive cavity pump systems.

Understand the system before choosing the equipment. Bring the pump, elastomer and drive together around actual well conditions.

THE SYSTEM, IN THREE PARTS

One lifting system.
Three connected decisions.

Surface rotation is transmitted through the rod string to the downhole pump. The rotor and elastomer stator create progressively advancing cavities to transport fluid.

ESPCP uses a different power path: a cable supplies the downhole motor. These configurations must be evaluated separately.

START WITH WHAT YOU KNOW

Every well changes the question.

Fluid & solids

Viscosity at temperature, sand characteristics, water cut and free gas.

Depth & space

Pump setting, completion geometry and available installation space.

Power & load

Speed, torque, axial load, available supply and control requirements.
